HEY EVERYONE...THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR RESPONSES.....FIRST I WANNA TELL STEPHANIE AND MARLENE, GARY, MARGI, AND THE OTHERS THAT YOUR COMMENTS MEANT A GREAT DEAL TO ME......I NEVER TAKE MY FANS AND FRIENDS FOR GRANTED....I'M STARTING TO FINALLY FIGURE OUT THE BLOG AND OTHER STUFF THAT HAD ME SPINNING INITIALLY.......I AM STILL RECOVERING FROM THE OCT 17TH 2007 ACCIDENT WHERE A CAR OUT OF CONTROL HIT ME HEAD ON GOING 85 MILES PER HOUR.....I'M SO LUCKY TO BE ALIVE...........ME AND THE BOYS HAVE PREPARED A MUSICAL SURPRISE FOR YOU THAT WILL SATIATE THE APPETITE OF ALL THOSE THAT KEEP SHOUTING OUT SONGS FROM THE OLD DAYS..........WE LOVE YOU ALL, AND I PERSONALLY LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU AND HEARING FROM YOU..ENJOY THE SUMMER AND I'LL SEE YOU IN AUGUST..I SANG AT THE KEY CLUB IN HOLLYWOOD LAST NIGHT AND THOUGHT OF MY NEW YORK FANS.....IT WAS GREAT..................LOVE BENNY

hey again. it's 4:36 pm here in syracuse and i just saw the news about the earthquake in LA. i hope you are all safe and that there is no damage to report. if y'all need anything, just say the word and i'll be on the next plane out there doing whatever i can to help...provided whatever help you need costs less than $136.00 cause thats all i'd have left after a plane ticket...heehee.

Hey Benny (a.k.a. Mr. Cute & Adorable);

I am so grateful you survived the car accident. Seems to me there's a good reason for that. Tons of them, I'm sure, but particularly - selfishly - because I would not have been able to make the drastic life changes that I've made recently if it weren't for you. I would not have had the strength without your encouragement to hang in and get well. You are an inspiration and an amazing example of getting on with life. I can now get on with my life and be happy. I can't tell you that enough (I know, I can't shut up, sorry) and I'm glad I will have the opportunity to tell you in person in a couple of weeks.

Hmmmm! Looks like there's gonna be a little competition for your attention at Inner Harbor...LOL

Can't wait to see you there and to hear the older songs LIVE!!! Hurray!!!

Ok...I'll stop gushing now. ;)

i've been meaning to write to you but because my whole right arm has been paralyzed (i'm right handed and it looks like i'll fully recover even though doctors said i wouldn't). i also had a bad car accident in july 2006 and got airlifted to a boston hospital cause i was dying quickly. i've been either close to or thought they'd be pronouncing me dead six times these past 5 years... i've fought hard and am scarred up but doing it all against every single doctor's odds.

a few months ago i was losing steam, spirit and the will to live. then i remembered all the struggles and anguishes in your life and i told my family i was going to think of you when i can't fight no more. when i was in a 3 week coma from car accident, my family was told to bring in music. that's right they bought in your cd to play while i was in a coma. they know all your items i have are SACRED!

anyway i might do up a tape cassette and mail it out to you where i can't write and this one finger typing is tedious. don't know if a fan has ever sent you a voice fan letter. let's see if i have the guts and end up doing one for you.

thanks for all the music. you inspire and help me get better; right now i'm really in a deep funk. and into the night always seems to play on the radio when i need a spiritual lift. thank you..... i've loved getting to finally see you live three times in syracuse. you're great and still as adorable as ever!

We saw you at the TS Casino in Dec & again in May at Pfohl's. Both GREAT shows! Tho your die-hard fans know you'll be here Aug 15th, we've yet to see your Inner Harbor show advertised in the SYR Post-Standard, Syr NewTimes etc.
Tell your PR to jump on the band-wagon and
get your show advertised for an even BIGGER crowd in the 'Cuse!

Benny, just had a random thought about my younger days this evening and decided to look you up through Wickipedia. Hope everything is going as well as can be expected.

Thanks again for "Into The Night," which is still one of my favorites, along with "Sheila C," both of which had a significant impact on how I viewed life and love. Hope you can make it to Phoenix, AZ one day soon. Keep us posted and take care.

I am one of your much younger fans. Twenty-two is just a "baby," right? I learned about your music through my older sister, Mary Beth. We both LOVE you! Last year, we attended your concert at the Turning Stone Casino in Verona, NY. We had a fabulous time! However, we were sad that you did not sing "Christmastime in Syracuse." It is one of our favorite songs, because we are from Syracuse. We would be thrilled if you could sing that song when you come back to Turning Stone on December 13th. We'll be there cheering you on!

Hi Benny...Great show @ TS this Saturday night. As usual you had us singing & yelling. You still sounded great even being a bit horse. Turns out we have the same great Doctor Sall! Wait until we see hime next time! We are not from Syracuse but north of Rome & Utica. Central NY appreciates you. Hope you feel better.

I see you haven't wrote in awhile. 2008 is almost over, and I had a great one - I got to see the man I have been in love with since I was 17 (sneaking into clubs or wherever- I am now 42) four times.....Syracuse, Sylvan Beach, Fireworks over CNY and most recently Turning Stone.
Turning Stone was an awesome show......I only wish I had an opportunity to hang with you for one day....You rock and you are still my sweetie and the Man!!! You looked great at the Casino and I loved when you came out running on stage....I get goose bumps thinking about it...You are always in my thoughts and I wish you only the best!!!!

Doing this from Sydney, Australia seems crazy, but I have grown up with many forms of music and many artists, but yours was a voice that stuck. I came accross your website so thought you might get a kick out of knowing that even downunder, you still can cause goosebumps. I'm quite happy to find that you're still working & performing. From the way you put yourself into "Into the Night", I had assumed that you had retired after that album. I didn't think any human being's voice could hold up at that level for very long.

That is one of the most powerful vocal performances I've ever heard. Thanks for the music.

I want to thank you! "Into the Night" saved my life many times over the years. Especially when my husband died in 2004, I thought my world had ended. I played that song over and over because it had helped me when I was younger and lost.
You have an amazing talent! And you are greatly appreciated for sharing it with the world. Your voice is soothing, and calming. So much passion in your songs.

Benny ,I lived down the street from you in Savage. Your sister Louise and my sister Vicky were friends. I'm also a musician (drummer) and have been since 1964. I think you have an amazing voice and hope your'e still singing. I heard a radio interview with you a few years back, the interviewer was in recovery but I don't recall his name but it was a great interview. Anyway, I just wanted to say Hi and wish you good luck.
